Max's Android Apps: Desktop Visualizer

So, traditional widgets are not fitting your design scheme, or you just don’t like the icon choosing for an app of your choice? How about wanting an action or shortcut on your home screen in a stylish manner? Desktop visualizer is your weapon of choice for Android.

What it does: Desktop Visualizer allows you to use customized images as widgets of varying size.

How much does it cost: Nothing but the sweet time it will take you to learn how to use it.

Difficulty: There is a bit of a learning curve. If you are used to theming or skinning, it will take about 5 minutes to master. If you’ve never done so, it may take some time before you have the sizing down from memory. Even with trial and error, I can see a novice getting the hang of this in one or two days.

Hours to Complete: Again, as many hours as you are willing to devote to it. Once you start, its very hard to stop.

Opinion: This is one of the apps that helps separate Android from any other platform. I enjoy being able to customize my interface to my liking with ease and choose how I want my programs represented on my home screen. Combine this with a home screen replacement at like Launcher Pro Plus and let your imagination run WILD. And the best part, no rooting required. This app is totally newbie friendly. Now, I said newbie, not “mom and dad” friendly.

Free Version or Pay Version: Just real quick, I took out “pass” from my review because I’ll never bring an app to you under the header “Max Apps” that I am not currently using. With that, I would say this app is worth paying for but it is free of charge. It’s a very good app and a terrific way to make your iFriends envious of your superior OS. With that, I’ll leave you with a few shots of my home screen.
