HTC Windows Phone 7 Device Roundup
HTC HD7
Imagine an HD2, but done right and upgraded. This is essentially what the HD7 is. Exclusive to T-Mobile in the US, it features a 4.3 inch 800 x 480 display, 1 Ghz Qualcomm CPU, 576 MB of RAM, and a 5 megapixel camera with dual LED flash. As icing on the top of the cake, you get 720p video recording capabilities and 16 GB of built in storage. The funky aluminum piece around the camera doubles as a kickstand. We’re guessing it will cost $200 on contract at launch. Oh, and it has the Dolby Surround Sound found on all of the new HTC phones, which brings us to the Surround.
HTC 7 Surround
This crazy little AT&T device is the speaker slider we saw previously as a leak. The screen measures 3.8 inches along with a 1 Ghz Snapdragon, 576 MB of RAM, a 5 megapixel camera, 8 GB of internal storage, and Dolby/SRS Surround Sound. It seems rather thick to us but hey, it has a frickin slide out speaker!
HTC 7 Pro
his Sprint bound phone appears to be the typing oriented phone of the group as it uses a tilting 3.6” screen and larger TouchPro 2 style keyboard. Specs include a boring old 1 Ghz Snapdragon, 576 MB of RAM, 5 megapixel camera, and 16 GB of storage.
HTC 7 Mozart
This famous classical music composer will come loaded with a 1 Ghz Qualcomm CPU, 576MB of RAM, 8 GB of storage, 3.7 inch display, and an 8 megapixel camera with Xenon flash. The most exciting feature about this is possibly the unibody aluminum casing.
HTC 7 Trophy
This phone is specced exactly the same as the Mozart save for a lower 5 mp camera with LED flash and a different casing design. The display is also slightly larger at 3.8”.
In conclusion, we certainly have reason to believe HTC will definitely bring WP7 into the spotlight with their amazing new hardware. How the combination will play out is something we’ll have to see in the coming months.
