Microsoft boasts of WP7's 3,000 apps and 15,000 developers
Microsoft’s always been, well lets face it, bashful, to say the least. But their most recent platform — that’s Windows Phone 7 for anyone that’s been living under a rock for the past nine months — has been one of the company’s most original ideas since the Xbox 360. In what can only been seen as the company’s attempt to claim bragging rights, earlier this month the Redmond giant announced that its new halo platform had already culminated 2,000 apps, and 13,000 developers registered to create, nurture and maintain software for the platform.
Skip ahead two weeks to today, and Microsoft’s stated that their platform now has 3,000 apps and 15,000 registered developers. Microsoft, at this rate it won’t be too long until your app catalogue is up their with Android and Apple’s — we’re over the moon for you, we really are.
