Motorola DROID X Gets "X-clusive" Preview
Engadget has just gotten an exclusive hands-on with the Motorola DROID X! - This 4.4 inch beast is obviously meant to compete with the likes of the EVO 4G and the DROID Incredible. Want to see how it performs? Read on!
Possibly one of the most interesting features of the DROID X isn’t in the hardware but rather the software part of it. It appears to be running a new version of Motorola’s social networking skin, MotoBlur. This new version, possibly called Ninjablur, is less annoying compared to Motorola’s previous iteration used on phones such as the CLIQ and Devour.
Similar to the EVO 4G and new iPhone, this smartphone records 720p video with its 8 megapixel camera. Engadget declares performance to be snappy, mainly caused by the device’s 1 Ghz processor (an ARMv7 guessed to be a OMAP3630). The keyboard comes preloaded with Swype software and I’m guessing will be pretty great on that ginormous screen. The phone will come apparently come with 8GB of storage space, which I hope will become a trend with high-end Android devices to better compete with the iPhone. Want more coverage?
