Next iOS update will let you delete single images from Photo Stream
Ever since iOS 5 was released I gotta admit that I still haven’t stopped oo’ing and ah’ing and at all the shiny new notifications, iTunes match stuff, and iCloud features. But one thing I cannot stand is Photo Stream. While, yes, it is one of the most convenient features brought via iCloud, what’s with the inability to delete single images from my own account? I have to reset the entire Photo Stream just to get rid of one image I don’t want shared around all my iDevices? Well, in the latest developer beta of iOS 5, those days will be long gone, as Photo Stream gets a much needed update.
According to BGR, Apple’s iOS 5.1 beta 2 for developers lets you now delete single images from Photo Stream.
The only way to currently remove images from your Photo Stream is to log onto Apple ID account via iCloud.com, go to advanced settings, and then select “reset photo stream” — as seen below:
This new fix should hopefully resolve any embarrasing situations you might get yourself in when you share iDevices within your family and you don’t want everyone seeing what you save to your own iPod, iPhone, or iPad.
Also, there’s no word yet on if this update will improve the battery life, which the iPhone 4S has been plauged by since its release.
