Nintendo 3DS is official with all the details
Nintendo’s next iteration of its popular portable gaming console, the 3DS - has been announced today at their E3 event. Equipped with a 3.53 inch 3D widescreen display on top and a 3.02 inch touchscreen on the bottom, this device uses glasses-free 3D technology. It has a total of 3 cameras: 1 inner camera and two outer cameras with 0.3 megapixel resolutions. It outputs to 5.1 surround sound, now hosts a different button layout, as well as an added in analog “pad”.

Controls include a “Slide Pad” that allows 360-degree analog input, a motion sensor and a gyroscope. As for the 3D effects, there is a “3D Depth Slider” to adjust the level of 3D effects (it can even be completely turned off). The “telescoping stylus” is about 4 inches when fully extended. Engadget claims in their hands-on,”The feel is definitely reminiscent of those 3D cereal box prints…” As for color, there appears to be 3 choices: black, blue, and red. No pricing or dates have been announced yet.
