Okay Geek Presents: CES 2012 Beyond the Show Floor (series)

You’ve all probably wondered why we’ve gone dark over the past week without the smattering of daily posts and videos, and we have tons of excuses, but it’s mostly due to the organization of our new series we’re calling “CES 2012: Beyond the Show Floor”. We’re slipping by the rows of booths, circus performers and hordes of people to go directly to the meat and potatoes of CES — the products being presented and the people who make them.

Just us and them in a room with the product

We’re tired of seeing all these 2 minute video clips from the show floor with people shouting across the booths trying to get a word in, demoing finger-print smeared screens and being hustled along with the crowd — we’ve totally been there, and it’s an absolute blast — but we wanted to take things a little more seriously, and take some time to sit with the companies and their new products in a series of un-cut, in-depth videos.

We meet with said companies in Las Vegas hotels where we can catch our breath and concentrate on what’s important. The product, the company, the questions and most importantly, the answers. You see everything the camera captures, so essentially it’s almost like you’re right there. Now, you’re probably wondering where these videos are? Well, you’re in luck because we just finished our first installment (video below) with the guys and gals at Boxee, showing off their new Live TV support. New videos are incoming, so stay tuned to our front page, and follow us on Twitter and Facebook to catch updates when they hit!
