OmmWriter for PC is word processing without distraction

We briefly introduced you to OmmWriter the last we spoke about it, however since then it’s been released for PC, giving us more incentive to share it with everyone in attendance here today. So what is OmmWriter? Well, to put it simple, it’s not Microsoft Word, it’s not OpenWriter, and it’s probably nothing like any other application you’ve run into before. It does away with distractions and seals you into a zone where writing can flow, y’know the way it’s supposed to.
For many writing is a thing of the past — and I use the term “writing” as a general definition for pages of thoughts, hello’s, and discoveries. Most people nowadays “type” within emails, status updates, and comments within websites; “typing” has taken over what used to be known as writing. And so most of the software we see developed for word processing is crafted as a utilitarian application, meant to give you the tools to write something that you really don’t want to, but are forced to. But what if there was a program that actually made the process enjoyable? Well, as obvious as it seems, OmmWriter is that program.
At first glance, OmmWriter is bare bones, but that’s the beauty of it all. There are no file-types, no paragraph orientation tools, and heck, there isn’t even a way to make certain words bold and others not. OmmWriter’s job is simple: make the experience enjoyable enough that you don’t want to make it feel like a chore. And so whenever it’s opened, OmmWriter takes on a fullscreen approach, covering over everything else on your computer, including the Windows taskbar. And on top of that, to help you stay focused, ambient music plays subtly against a relaxing backdrop, aiding you to concentrate rather than feel rushed. Even as you input every single letter, a low sound effect helps you recognize that you are indeed doing work, contrary to what other, empty applications would have you think.
A few other features are keenly missing, however its developers have no beef not including them; such as printing, advanced text editing tools, and spell-check. OmmWriter isn’t meant to replace Word and other applications like it, but instead think of it as a way to get your creative juices flowing. It’s all about writing, saving as a .txt file or a PDF, and then printing from there if necessar. OmmWriter is a light, gravel path off the concrete road, leading to a forest with a cool breeze away from the pollution of automobiles and nicotine hardned lungs.
