Sony negotiating rights to make the next Steve Jobs movie
If you don’t know about the first Steve Jobs movie then you need to get out now! Okay, maybe not… but you should at last be aware of it. Pirates of Silicon Valley which covers the early beginnings and success of both Apple and Microsoft, and more specifically Steve Jobs and Bill Gates, may just be the biggest tech movie never to grace the big screen. Well, if Sony has anything to do with it, the next Steve Jobs movie will be coming to a theater near you. — More after the break!
Deadline is reporting firsthand knowledge of a possible deal between Sony and Walter Isaacson (the author to the upcoming Steve Jobs biography):
“I’ve just learned that Sony Pictures is making a hefty deal to acquire feature rights to Steve Jobs, the upcoming authorized biography by former CNN chairman and Time Magazine managing editor Walter Isaacson. I’m hearing the deal is $1 million against $3 million and that Mark Gordon will be the biopic’s producer.”
So who will play the iconic Apple CEO? Why not just go again with Noah Wyle? I mean seriously, can you picture anyone else! He’s already shown that he embodies the passionate, yet esscentric visionary — even at times being pubicly mistaken for the real Jobs.
