Teen Kidnapped then Forced to buy PS3
This could be the strangest kidnapping ever, and on so many levels - Kyle Yarkosky was on his way to see some friends in a gated community in Naples, Florida. Once he passed through the gates, a white pickup truck blocked his way, and two men exited the truck. One had an assault rifle and the other had a pistol. Scared out of his mind, Yarkosky watched as the men approached his car and proceeded to ram him in the head, forced Yarkosky to hand over all his cash and then drive them to his home.
Once the assailants arrived at Yarkosky’s home, they stole jewelry and his fathers credit card. After this point, the story starts to get really weird, and quite frankly, a little comical. According to Yarkosky, the kidnappers forced him to drive to the local Wal-Mart and buy them a shotgun, but after they found out the gun counter was closed, the proceeded to ask him to buy a PS3.
So, two guys with the ammunition to take out an entire office, kidnap a teen, steal his stuff then make him buy a PS3 for them. Leading up to this point, Yarkosky was still frightened, but was relieved when the kidnappers let him go, which is the stupidest decision any kidnapper can make.
Naples deputies have arrested one of the teen kidnappers involved with the attack, 18 year old David Daniels, who was seen with Yarkosky on surveillance footage at the Wal-Mart. This story is one that will never be forgotten as one of the strangest (and shortest) kidnapping sessions of the decade, but even though it is hard to fathom that people would be this stupid, all we need to do is realize that you have to be really stupid to think Wal-Mart sells quality shotguns, fit for a criminal.
