ChitChat - Real chat for Facebook, no Browser needed

I just got an email from Daniel Offer, someone behind a new company called ChitChat - who makes this nifty little Facebook chatting app for Windows XP, Vista and 7. It basically makes it possible to use Facebook chat, without a browser in a way that feels like MSN. Some of the features include the ability to use it without a browser, a more robust interface (not the simple one that Facebook offers), notifications and a Tabbing system to make it easy to switch between different ChitChats. The interface could use a little polishing and more originality, but I say give it a try.

Opera Mini for iPhone Submitted to App store

We have been waiting for this, and by this I mean a better browser on the iPhone. Opera mini has blown Safari mobile away on every speed test and bench mark, and is one of the most robust mobile browsers not available (yet). So lets all cross our fingers and hope it doesn’t take long, and it turns out in Opera’s favor - Read more

Video - Mike Rowe explains the Motorola i1 handset

“It just feels rugged” - that was the wording Slashgear described the new Motorola i1 mobile phone. So who better to explain the inner workings of this manly device than the world’s most rugged man, Mike Rowe? The guy does Dirty Jobs week in and week out, not to mention all those Ford truck commercials; the guy is more than qualified, and I’m sure he could light a match just by gently brushing it against his cheek.

Square Enix CEO talks Final Fantasy VII Remake

Siliconera, my favorite stop when I want to know anything going on in the JRPG world, had a short run in with Square Enix President & CEO, Yoichi Wada, about the fan demanded remake of Final Fantasy VII. This is what the big man on campus had to say about it:

“Right now we don’t have a clear direction, but many fans have requested we remake Final Fantasy VII… We’re going to explore the possibility – whether or not we’re going to do it, if we’re going to do it, and the platform.”

Yoichi Wada - President and CEO, Square Enix

Not a lot of insight there, but Square seems to be fully aware of outpouring being done in the name of this particular title. Final Fantasy VII is regarded as one of the best RPG’s ever made, whether that’s true or not is up for debate (I don’t think it is :P), but despite that claim there’s no doubting how big of a following it has. Sorry hates, but this one looks like it’s destined to eventually be made.

And so the waiting game begins.

Are you a bad enough dude to play Spongebob's Boat-O-Cross?

Are you a bad enough dude to handle the most evil and spiteful game every conceived? Do you really think you have the stomach to take up such a daunting task? If so then proceed forward, hit the link and play Spongbob’s Boat-O-Cross. Meant for mere children, it’s a game that tests the most hardcorest of hardcore players. Casual you say? Sir, sit down, shut up, and play the game. Prove you can back up those claims, my friend.

I’ve only managed to get my boat passed across the second rock, though I’ve seen people finish the whole game, so I know it’s possible.

…may God have mercy on your soul.
