HTC EVO 4G vs Nexus One and Motorola Droid - Superphones

Now that the HTC EVO 4G’s been announced lets get down to the business end of it. We all know that this is going to be the smartphone we mean superphone to beat, but just how well does it compete against already available handsets. The guys over at Engadget got to play with the device and compiled a series of “comparisons” if you will.

Tetsuya Nomura - "Kingdom Hearts 3 in development"

One of gaming’s most anticipated sequels, Kingdom Hearts 3 is one that fans of the series have been dying to hear about. Lucky for them in the new Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep Ultimania (a huge encyclopedia about the game) there just so happens to be an interview with Kingdom Hearts mastermind, Tetsuya Nomura, where he reveals that not only is Kingdom Hearts 3 in development, but also two more KH titles as well.

“About the next title, Kingdom Hearts 3 depends on Final Fantasy XIII Versus, but development of the next title is already underway. There are two titles other than Kingdom Hearts 3 in conception, and I think I’ll release one within this year.”

“As from next year, I want to put out a title with multiple main characters.”

“The series won’t end in Kingdom Hearts 3, more like the conclusion of the Xehanort saga.”

“It’s not the case that when Sora’s story is over another hero’s story will begin; Sora will be the hero until the end.”

Tetsuya Nomura - Kingdom Hearts Creator, Designer, Writer

As a Kingdom Hearts fan I’m not into the idea of the series not ending after what we thought would be the final game in the “trilogy”. And it’s even sadder to think that Sora will be the main hero through out any future KH games as well. I am happy to know that the Xehanort saga will finally be resolved - taking a total of 6 games - but I was hoping we’d get to see a much more expanded universe away from the cast we’ve grown accustomed to seeing.

Dell manages to tantalise the senses once again: in what can only be described as pure gadget lust, Dell’s first-ever Android device recently underwent some face time at CTIA. The guys over at Engadget got some hands on time, however, don’t expect to see the device turned on. — Read more

Le Whif - the Chocolate and Coffee Inhalers

Yup, you read it right. A chocolate inhaler. Also in coffee flavor! What genius came up with this? No… really. What genius came up with this since it just may be the greatest invention ever conceived. No calories, all taste. Though I do find a lot of pleasure in sitting down on a cold evening and drinking a nice cup of joe. I can’t see myself replacing the drinking with the inhaling of flavored air - just doesn’t have the same effect, y’know what I mean?

Video - Augmented Reality Scavenger Hunt

Oh the Japanese and their fancy shmancy technology crazed society. Now scavenger hunts are being done with the help of augmented reality apps for the iPhone. Not really a scavenger hunt per se, but more of an alternate reality game (I wrote a paper back in college about those) - Watch it HERE

Rumor - More Nintendo 3DS details

Every single blog in existence talked and speculated on it today, Nintendo’s newest addition to the gaming family, the 3DS. And why wouldn’t they? When Nintendo does anything the world stops and watches, as they rightfully should.

New details via Japanese magazine Nikkei, who’s been right more times often than not, has some interesting features rumored to be in the upcoming Nintendo handheld:

  • analog stick
  • vibration pack
  • accelerometer still a maybe
  • sped up wireless connection
  • better battery life
  • a screen smaller than 4 inches

As always, rumors are rumors - take them with a grain of salt.
