iPhone 4.0 OS Event happening on April 8th

iPhone 4.0 OS Event - April 8th at 10 am Pacific

So my brother was just in town and telling me how badly I should jailbreak my phone - my iPhone 3GS. I’ve always been reluctant to do so, but after he showed me multitasking and some pretty rad features I was sold. So I’m ready to jailbreak my phone and what happens? Lo and behold, Apple decides to announce an iPhone 4.0 OS event over night and here I was on the verge of going to the dark side too. Well, I don’t have to wait too long to know what will be coming in the official. I mean it’s happening in 3 days: April 8th.

Pokemon 5th Gen announcement coming April 11th

Pokemon 5th Gen announcement coming April 11th

Some major announcements for the next big Pokemon game are due to come out on April 11th. Expect either leaked CoroCoro scans or Pokemon Sunday to break the news. All we know so far is that the 5th generation game will be due out in Japan by the end of the year, and that it’ll be on the original DS.

Manchildren or not, Pokemon is still only second to Mario when it comes to all-time franchises making Nintendo the green stuff. What can I say - people love their po-kay-mans!

However, we just want to point out that Chrome isn’t THAT browser you remember from long ago… y’know, the one without add-on support. Since the extensions were made available it’s made it much more than just a pretty window to look at the internet through - a much prettier window than Firefox for sure!

So to help nudge you in the right direction SixRevisions.com have pointed out their top 10 choices for Chrome add-ons that boost productivity - making that conversion over to the Google darkside an easy one.

Over 700,000 iPads have been sold - Report

What were you expecting after seeing those lines at the Apple store? - almost a million people united in front of retail stores to buy a new product. Does this ever happen? Well, through all the predictions that the iPad is going to be a “flop” and that it was going to be Apple’s next cube, the iPad showed us that in fact 700,000 people were so excited, so interested and so passionate about a giant iPod that they would buy it on pure impulse. I have never seen another electronic company have the ability to generate so much genuine hype, and always exceed speculations of success. Quote from Brain Storm tech after the break!

Square has a new iPad app - Screenshots

We’ve talked about Square in the past - the new and up-coming platform to accept payments anywhere, anytime on the iPhone, Android, and now the iPad. The iPad (I feel) is the device Square has been hoping for, being able to make a portable, functional cash register that can accept payments just like the iPhone app, but seemingly better. The new iPad app takes the core functionality of the iPhone app, and makes it bigger, more spaced out and seems to add a bit more functionality in terms of ease of use, and flexibility. Screenshots after the break!

iPad has been torn apart by iFixit

iPad has been torn apart by iFixit

Pic unrelated - Yes, iFixit has gotten their grimy little hands all over Apple’s shiny new iThing, and might I say, the insides look better than the outside of most laptops, with that little A4 chip nestled inside the casing. This is a really interesting look into what makes the iPad tick - Check it out
