Adobe Flash uses 30% of the MacBook Air's Battery Life

When Apple announced the MacBook Air the boasted a 5-7 hour battery life and of course, we we’re stunned to see that that claim held true. There are a lot of factors when it comes to batter life — heat, current processes, screen brightness, WiFi and Bluetooth (among other things), and the MacBook Air managed to run completely fine using everything you’d need — but when Flash was started up, battery life dropped from 6 hours to 4 hours.

Review - Skype 5.0 Beta for Mac OS X

Using Skype 2.8 on the Mac was a nightmare — so many times I would chat with the wrong person (which can end horribly), call somebody I didn’t mean to, or get completely lost in the application (or lose the application itself!). This was all due to Skype 2.6’s broken up windowing system that separated the contact list, calls and conversations, and it sucked — the cool part is, Skype 5.0 for Mac is a completely different story…

Mac App Store is now accepting apps

Apple has made it official — The Mac App store is now open and ready for new app submissions, but users will have to wait for access. Developers are going to receive emails from Apple asking them to start adding their apps to the store as long as they abide by the strict guidelines. The Mac App store will ship with OS X Lion, and will be available for everyone on in less than 75 days.
