An iPad Changed this Disabled Boy's Life - Video

I was good all the way through, but when that last line was spoken, my eyes filled up. This is one of the most rewarding videos I could watch as a geek — not only because I saw a 7 year old boy who can’t even move, get to interact with the world outside his room and finally have some fun — but I also got to see a future geek be born today…

T3ch H3lp Podcast Ep. 9 - Delayed until Wednesday

Please act in a calm fashion and exit to the left of the intertube. The doors will open once again on Wednesday November 3rd and the new Podcast will be available. Just to clarify — remain calm and proceed to the exit in an orderly fashion. Please refrain from breaking our webs and stealing our pixels — we don’t want a riot on our hands.

Until then - Enjoy some of our other fine episodes!

T-Mobile is going to bring Tiered Data Pricing into the mix

Little is known about this, but according to the WSJ, T-Mobile will be joining AT&T and Verizon, “offering” us tiered data plans. This could go one of two ways — it could go somewhat smoothly, or it could be a total nightmare — but no matter what, T-Mobile will be laughing all the way to the bank.

T-Mobile announced this morning a fleet of new data pricing changes and the official arrival of their new tethering plan.

According to DSL Reports, T-Mobile is now offering two new plans — The The Web 200MB plan brings 200 MB of usage for a somewhat reasonable $10 a month with a two-year contract or $15 a month with no contract.

3D Drawing in Augmented Reality on the iPhone

This is a new tech demo of an app called “Scrawl” that would allow you to draw in 3D using your iPhone. You can draw all sorts of wierd shapes, and then you can move around them to see the masterpiece from all angles. By the looks of it, this could be a smashing success in the app store, and the developers at String hope to release it as a free app.

Automatically Import Files into iTunes with iTunes Folder Watch

We all wish iTunes was a far more robust music player, but somehow we all make due. However, there’s one thing that I just can’t take anymore, and that’s iTunes not recognizing when new files have been added into folders I’ve already imported into the iTunes library before. Well, finally there’s an app for that!

When running, iTunes Folder Watch automatically imports newly added media files from within pre-selected to the iTunes library. And to make the process even easier, the application also creates a playlist that displays all the recently imported songs and videos, so you can see how they’ve been tagged.

World of Warcraft Red Shirt Guy Immortalized?

Remember the red shirt guy from blizzcon? Y’know, the one who asked the question that stumped even the WoW development team? If you don’t then shame on you! Well, as you might imagine, when something of this caliber goes down the reaction is typically huge. Forums have been full of grace and flame over it. After reading an article of some one showing some sympathy for all the hate, I stumbled upon this. It appears to be taken from the WoW Cataclysm Beta.  If this gets implemented into the final build then Mr. Red shirt will have achieved what many only dream of - immortality in the World of Warcraft.
