Windows 8 Explorer will sport the pointless MS Office ribbon

How does Microsoft attept to streamline the Windows brand and try to catch up to Apple? By stepping in the wrong direction and giving people what they DON’T want! For those who have Microsoft Office 2010, do you use that “ribbon” where those huge icons appear as options above the main work area? Yeah, well I don’t either, which is why I stopped using word and reverted back to Open Office. Well, for all of you who hate that ribbon you’ll be pleased to know that MS plans to utilize it in the Windows 8 Explorer.

From what we originally saw from the unveiling of Windows 8 and its Windows Phone Live Tile touch interface, which pulled at our heart strings… that is until with a click of a button we werethrown back into the old familiar Windows OS that we want to get away from, we’ve been feeling a little uneasy about this new iteration of the world leading OS.

Well, just in case you felt that Microsoft was deviating from its roots of idiocy, they’ve decided to include the ridiculously, pointless ribbon at the top of its Windows Explorer in an attempt to further prove their incomptency. But this just doesn’t come out of anyway — oh no! They have data collected that proves that people… do NOT use the ribbon?

Ummm…

I’m confused.

Yeah, apparently the raw data taken from a study of users using the current Explorer and MS Office ribbon proves that the feature is completely useless. Not only that, but the amount of commands; such as “cut, paste, refresh, new” are the only options people usually select. This was reason enough for Windows to make huge buttons for these commands and surround them by text and buttons to clutter up the entire design and alienate people away from simplicity.
