No one is outside Batman's...err, I mean the Movie and Music industry's jurisdiction. Mininova, a torrent search engine in laymen's terms, was given an ultimatum: Remove all links to illegal torrents within 3 months, or pay up 1,000 Euro's for each one.
BREIN, an organization that acts similarly like the MPAA and RIAA do, sued Mininova earlier this year and the ruling has come down. Mininova may appeal the ruling.

It's always been an annoyance - not being able to select which of your contacts will get your email - and I find it funny that Google is marketing this change as if it's a feature, rather than a way overdue update.
When composing messages, you probably rely pretty heavily on auto-complete to add recipients. Auto-complete is convenient and fast, and usually does the trick. But sometimes seeing your list of contacts can help you remember all the people you want to include on your email. So, we've added a contact chooser to Gmail.
Sure, autocomplete is great, but what if I haven't given someone a custom name, and I totally forgot their email address?

It's 'kay guys. We apologized.
That's exactly how MS sounds a day after their Polish counterpart posted up an American MS ad and replaced a black employee with a overly happy white dude's face on their own site.
Microsoft's corporate twitter feed had this to say:
Marketing site photo mistake - sincere apologies - we're in the process of taking down the image
There you have it. That's all it takes to say you're sorry - a simple "lol, j/k" will suffice.

Warburton, more commonly known as Joe Swanson on Family guy, shows off his stuff as a "top of the line" PC, but our "Lauren" clone is a bit turned off by the fact that all PC's get viruses and will eventually need some sort of maintenance.
I, myself, use PC's and haven't had much, if any, experience with Mac's, besides what I've played with at the Apple store and Best Buy. But I still find the humor in these commercials.
Hmmm, notice a difference between Microsoft's US and Poland sites? I can understand that Poland doesn't have many black people in their country, but still. Why not Photoshop the Asian guy?
