uTorrent 2.0 - will Elimininate the need for ISP Throttling
Everyone uses torrent's, and none of us can deny it. Either a few here and there, or non-stop for your music fetish. In some country's, its ok but in all country's, its frowned upon by ISP's. In fact ISPs have been throttling BitTorrent traffic for years already, and they still do. When network neutrality was still not a big issue for most people, Torrent users were just told to "switch to another provider who doesn't throttle" or "Complain". A lot of things have changed. ISP's took actions to throttle BitTorrent traffic, and started to prevent users from seeding content on BitTorrent.
And then uTP comes along, finally. uTP is a new and improved implementation of the BitTorrent protocol which is designed to be network friendly. This means that the new uTorrent will eliminate the need for ISPs to throttle BitTorrent traffic in their networks. Of course, uTorrent users will also be affected by the new protocol. When needed, uTorrent will decrease the upload or download speed to avoid congestion.
We don't know if this is the answer users and ISP's have been looking for, but if it can make the ISP's chill out, and keep us happy its a winner. What do you think about this new tech?
