Orange UK iPhone plan pricing in detail
We're about a week off from the iPhone coming to the UK, in style. For those of you across the pond wondering how many bones your gonna fork out, you now have your answer thanks to a confusing but thoroughly helpful bunch of tables and charts that lay out the costs of the phones, plans, and the various extras to be included. The cool part is, the plans are very well thought out. Those daring enough to sign up for 24 months can get a shiny 8GB iPhone 3G for free for a minimum of £29.36 ($48) per month, with unlimited "Mobile internet browsing" and WiFi (we thought the WiFi was a given, but what the heck)
The cool part is the Pay-as-you-go pans are pretty neat. The 8GB 3G will cost you £343 ($561), while the 32GB 3GS is a rather more painful £539 ($881) and when you are thinking "Man what a rip off" just think that you would be paying well over £1,400 a year for that 32GB 3GS plan. So pay £539 for the phone, and have the flexibility of a Pay-as-you-go, doesn't make much sense. But the 8GB 3G for £343 with pay as you go? That sounds ok! what do you think?
