A Guide to Cosplay - The Good and Bad

First of all, what is cosplay? Its when you dress up at a convention as one of your favorite characters from a show / movie / game. Since now is the time to be festive and get those works of art in progress I decided now would be a good time for the DO's and DON'Ts of Cosplay. Here's the deal. I like to cosplay, because its fun and really adds some spice to my video game reviews and sketches. If I cosplay at a Convention, I'm gonna go all out.

Kristen's Cosplay tips

The difference between Good and Bad Cosplay.

Good Cosplay

  • Looks like Character
  • Will pose like the character when pictures are taken
  • Has played the game or is a fan of the show.
  • Picked a character based on their body and what they look like.
  • Spent a lot of time on detail.

Bad Cosplay

  • Doesn't look like the character at all
  • Has no idea who they are.
  • Didn't really try on their costume.
  • Doesn't know how to post of pictures.
  • Is not the gender of the character they are cosplaying as
