Microsoft giving away Windows 7 for free - May 5th

There certainly has been a lot of discussion about Windows 7 in the last few weeks. A lot of folks want to know when they can get their hands on the official RC, when we are going to RTM, and what I had for breakfast. I’m pleased to share that the RC is on track for April 30th for download by MSDN and TechNet subscribers. Broader, public availability will begin on May 5th.
On behalf of everyone here, I would to thank all of our beta testers for helping us get to this point. You guys have been busy. At the peak of the feedback cycle, we were receiving a “Send Feedback” report every 15 seconds for an entire week. Since then, the engineering team has been busy analyzing the feedback, fixing bugs, and working hard to improve the overall experience.
Many of your suggestions helped us refine the new and improved taskbar, the behavior of Aero Peek, Touch, Windows Media Player, and much more. In case you have missed the previous E7 blog entry outlining some of these changes in detail, you can read about them here and here.
Download Windows 7 RC If you have a subscription to MSDN or TechNet, you can download Windows 7 RC now. Otherwise, you can download Windows 7 RC starting May 5, 2009.
Download it here (on may 5th)
Red Sn0w beta download Officially Released!

It is here!! red sn0w is here!!!!!
Now, if you don't know what it is, its the only way to jail break your iPod 2g! It basicly UNLOCKS the full potential from your iPod 2g. and the possibillities are endless! you can customize your wallpaper (instead of the black screen) you can add themes and make your own. you can download cracked apps that do a number of things like the fan effect on OSX leopards dock and cover flow for your contacts. Even download torrents right on your ipod!
The tool is available for windows, mac and linux so be prepared for complete, iPod pwnage!
One word of warning though, this is ONLY for the iPod touch 2g that means that if your ipod does not have a volume rocker on the side, its not an iPod touch 2g its an iPod touch 1g so you can go ahead and use more stable methods.
Also, this tool is still in beta so dont expect perfection. It will work though and it will do it gooood! and one more thing, this is tethered, so that means that everytime you shut down your iTouch (not lock it, i mean shut it down) you will need to connect to the computer to boot it up. this is because of the yet to be found exploit in the boot spectrum of the ipod.
Basacly, the stock boot stuff wont let the jailbroken firmware load because it does not have a digital signature. so get used to not completey shutting down your iPod and alwayse charge when possible, because if you run out of battery, you will have to do a tethered boot! Check it out here!
First swine flu death in U.S.

GENEVA, Switzerland (CNN) -- The World Health Organization raised its pandemic alert to 5, its second-highest level Wednesday, indicating the outbreak of swine flu that originated in Mexico is nearing widespread human infection.

Dr. Margaret Chan, the U.N. agency's director-general, said the decision mean to raise the alert to 5 on its 6-point scale indicated that all countries should "immediately" activate pandemic preparedness plans. "This change to a higher phase of alert is a signal to governments, to ministries of health and other ministries, to the pharm industry and the business community that certain actions now should be taken with increased urgency and at an accelerated pace," Chan said. The annoucement came as the number of people infected with swine flu increased rapidly across the world, and health officials scrambled to get more information about the virus -- which has no vaccine.
