AT&T Formally Announces HTC Inspire 4G and Samsung Infuse 4G

Thought for one second that AT&T wasn’t going to play the 4G game? Well, you thought wrong. After leaking in the recent pages of Rolling Stone, the HTC Inspire 4G has now officially been announced by AT&T and it’s not alone.  For your viewing pleasure the mobile carrier also presents the new Samsung Infuse 4G.

HTC Inspire 4G

The HTC Inspire 4G is a 4.3” “EVO 4G-like” device sporting a super LCD and 1 GHz processor. As we guessed, it does indeed come loaded with the new version of HTC Sense found on the European Desire Z and HD phones.

Samsung Infuse 4G

This is the one we’re really excited about (shown in the cover image). What makes this phone different from other 4G smartphones? For starters, it’s got a 4.5” Super AMOLED Plus display and a 1.2 GHz Hummingbird CPU (single core). The cameras are pretty competitive at 8 megapixels rear and 1.3 megapixel front.  The “4G” on this device is apparently HSPA+, just like T-Mobile. We’re not sure how most users will find the 4.5” display, but sliding in right between an HTC EVO 4G and a Dell Streak, we think our tech savvy friends will feel right at home.
