DROID X Gets Its own Launch Trailer

We’ve seen a plethora of strange and scary commercials from Verizon advertising their DROID phone lineup and this is no exception. With the DROID X launch coming up tomorrow, this new trailer has been outed. So why not take a one minute commercial break with this “See You Tomorrow” video?

Apple to Hold iPhone 4 Press Conference on Friday

The iPhone 4 antenna dilemma has seriously gotten too out of hand to solve without a press conference. On Friday, at 10 PM PT Apple will hold a conference for a select press audience most likely to address recent iPhone 4 issues. I guess now we can only wait and see what Apple will do though all they have announced is that this conference will be about the iPhone 4. I hope they will also give some more information about the missing white iPhones.

HTC HD2 Gets Android 2.2 and 2.1 with Sense

The HTC HD2 is probably one of the best pieces of smartphone hardware out there. So why not hack every single type of great smartphone OS on there? We’ve previously seen Android 2.1 and even Ubuntu on it and now hackers have gotten the latest version of Android on it. But if you prefer HTC’s custom Sense skin but want Android instead of Windows Mobile, they also have an Android 2.1 version for you (ported from the HTC Desire). Videos after the break!

If you’ve been following the whole cheap Android tablet thing since CES, you’ll probably remember a slate that came out of nowhere unexpected: the Cruz Tablet. Well now there’s an official press release and it turns out that “Cruz” is actually the name of their whole Android tablet lineup. This lineup, starting at a price of $149, seems very promising so let’s take a closer look with a hands-on video and spec sheet.

Verizon Gets Low-end Android Device: Motorola WX445

Well, well, what have we here? The carrier notorious for all their high-end DROID phones with a low-end handset in store? Most likely, this will be Motorola’s next Blur featuring phone running Android 2.1. The source tells us that it will have a pretty small screen in the 2.5” - 3” range and the camera will not have flash. I’m guessing that it will be in the 2-3 megapixel range, though no camera specs were revealed. The backing of the phone is rather reminiscent of the Palm Pre, which didn’t feel very expensive in the hand (though this device is keyboard-less).

Razer Announces New Orca Headphones, Giveaway

As a part of their 100,000 Facebook fan count celebration, Razer is introducing this pair of lime green headphones called the Razer Orca. The company claims that these cans will be suitable for hardcore audiophiles though I bet the looks will probably drive most of that audience away. Specs include 40 mm drivers with Neodymium magnets, a frequency response of 15 – 21,000 Hz, 1.2 meter braided cable with 2 meter extension, and 3.5mm headphone jack connector. Basically, these $60 headphones are a modified version of the Razer Carcharias gaming headset: Microphone-less and colored a super bright green. Oh, and they knocked 20 bucks off the price tag.
