Diagram of how every internet and tech company is connected

When someone asks us to think of “a tech company”, connections start firing off in our geek brains. Google, Apple, Microsoft and hundreds more pop into our minds and then the brands they’ve each influenced and maybe some products. What’s interesting though is even if we realize these companies are connected, we don’t really know how deeply connected they actually are. This diagram really lays it out perfectly and shows that everything is one giant mesh of ideas.

Incredible time lapse of Earth rotating captured from space - Video

This is just bliss, watching the days (literally) roll by before your eyes. The bright lights of the city, trance of the Auroras and the glow of the ocean makes our planet look like something out of a Sci-Fi movie. The video was captured by the crew aboard the International Space Station using a special low-light 4K-camera. Make sure you jump over to Vimeo and watch it in HD… it would be a crime not to…

Siri "mind control" iPhone 4S hack is fake, here's the breakdown

It’s called “Project Black Mirror” and it’s quickly become a sensation among technology enthusiasts. Why it’s so awesome is because it takes raw brain activity and translates it into commands Siri (iPhone 4s) can understand, essentially allowing you to control your iPhone with your mind. In theory, Project Black Mirror sounds incredible, and the video demonstrations are mind-blowing, but instead of riding the wave of hype, we decided to wait for the dust to settle and stand by for the voice of reason to emerge. The verdict (as it stands) is Project Black Mirror is 100% fake. We explain the buzz-kill after the break!

This is an invisibility cloak made from carbon nanotube sheets - Video

An invisibility cloak made from carbon nanotube sheets sounds like something out of a James Bond film doesn’t it? I mean, you can see that a switch is flicked and something vanishes but whats more exciting is that we may be able tape ourselves to the top of a car, put a cloak on it and make it look like we’re flying like Superman!

Guy steals kid's copy of Skyrim outside Gamestop

So here we have a classic story of the kid who worked his butt off for weeks to save up $70, sold his worldly possessions, rode his bike to the store 2 miles away, just to walk out of the store and have his new copy of Skyrim snatched out of his hands by a scumbag. You’d think that would be the end of the story, but things took a turn for the better.

End of the road: Adobe stopping Mobile Flash development, focusing on HTML5

Adobe said to it’s developers yesterday that “[They] will no longer adapt Flash Player for mobile devices to new browser, OS version or device configurations.” Instead, Adobe will be investing much more time and money in building HTML5 tools and products to help usher in a new age of development for the web and mobile devices. That said, Adobe will continue to support and provide critical updates and fixes to current deployments of Flash, but they will not be making any further development on Flash for new mobile devices and websites.

Call of Duty MW3 - The Vet and the Noob (live action) - Video

You’ve probably already seen the Modern Warfare live-action trailers in the past, and one thing they have in common is they’re all awesome. Sure, the games are coming under heavy critisizm, and the grown ups have moved on to new battlefields, but we still have to tip our hats at Call of Duty marketing.
