Bose is usually known for making fantastic products in the audio field and pricing them outrageously. Today, they are introducing 3 new pairs of in-ear headphones that break this rule. While no doubt the audio quality will be better than par, the IE2, MIE2, and MIE2i are priced at $100, $130, and $130, respectively. The IE2 are meant to replace the current Bose In-Ear Headphones and thus have no mobile functionality. The latter 2 have inline mics and controls as suggested by the M in their names. The MIE2 will replace the current mobile In-Ear Headphones. The “i” variant will be targeted towards Apple device using customers. None of the 3 are noise-cancelling. New StayHear tips coat the earbuds and come in 3 sizes, allowing the buds to fit properly in your ear unlike Bose’s previous offerings. As for availability, expect the IE2 and MIE2 to hit shelves on August 23 and the MIE2i later in October.
