For movies we know of people like Steven Spielberg and Spike Lee, but what about guys like Colin Tilley? The people who make those memorable and unique art pieces (you may know as music videos) that mesh with your favorite beats. Colin Tilley is one of the biggest and baddest music video directors/editors out there right now - you’ve probably seen his work, but you don’t even know it yet…

So it was very fitting that their latest mixtape The Cataracs: I thought they were black presented by DJ Greg Street. The group consist of Campa and Cyrano who are both Berkley born an raised. The Cataracs are constantly evolving and is climbing to the top soon.

Since the hip-hop Hyphy Movement started to die and was replaced by Southern California Jerk Movement, the music has been constantly changing. Music from underground artist have also been able to flourish thanks to the web. To kick off the Bay Area music experience, we are taking an exclusive look at the group Starting Six.

Newly this week we are having New Music Mondays, bring you big and small artist to help you discover new music.

This week we take a look at well known artist John Mayer with his latest release Battle Studies. This is Mayer's 5th album and it has created much anticipation after his last hit album Continuum, which sold more than 2,272,747 copies and won a few awards. Released on November 17, 2009 by Columbia Records, the album was produced by Mayer and drummer Steve Jordan. Why was it called Battle Studies you may ask?
