Now you can Make Phone calls on Twitter with @call

Twitter has been pushing out new features like crazy lately, such as Geo Location and Project Retweet. Twitter has always been known to create and addapt new creations that either they make, or ones that they addapt from other developers, but the point is, they are completely origional!

Now Twitter and JAJAH have taken it to the next level of epicness. Now you can make phone calls, to friends on twitter with new @call's, here is how it works:

The calling service works when a user tweets “@call @yourfriend.” The tweet will cause both phones to ring, and the Tweeters will be connected without the service sharing either telephone number.

So now we have private phone calls with friends amungst twitter, This will be another amaizing, but super easy and simple tool intigrated into twitter.

Voice chat is coming to Facebook with Vivox

Well well well... Facebook has been coming out with a Slue of features, namely the @reply function I mentioned in an earlyer post, but this takes the cake!

All Facebookers Unite!

In a few weeks, All users will be able to connect with friends in high-quality voice conversation. The new technology is being offered by Vivox, a Boston-based company that provides the integrated voice service for virtual worlds like Second Life and EVE Online, and which already has more than 15 million users worldwide.

Vivox for Facebook is currently in closed beta. It will allow Facebook users to have high-fidelity conversations with anyone on their friends list. You will have to download Vivox's plug-in. Once installed, the service works almost seamlessly with Facebook.

third-party developers will also be able to integrate this technology into their own applications, like Farm Ville, or Mafia Wars.

When it comes out, T3ch H3lp.com will have more info.

Two New Ways to Search - Bing and Google add search Features

Between the two new features from Google and Bing, I'm going to have to go with Google's as the best and most relative. So we'll start there first:

Google's Fast Flip

Google's /news section is a fast way to get you upto speed with the news, but admit it, it's not that visually appealing - links and text - and have also just one source to read highlighted stories from is a bit of a drag.  So this is where Fast Flip comes into the picture. Flip lets you search up a topic and gives you a full page of site preview's to check out, all from big named news sites and magazines, to give you the news that YOU want to read. It looks nice and well organized, but sometimes the text in those preview panels can be quite small.

My only huge gripe with Flip is that the stories presented are broken up into categories like Popular and Recent. I think copying Twitter's trend function would be a perfect addition, as anyone could get onto Flip and stay tuned with what's happened through out the day's events.

Give it a Try

Bing's Visual Search

Looking for vacation spots or maybe prominent players in a professional sports team? With Bing's new Visual Search feature you can scan through categories and find search results once you've found the image you've been looking. Let's say you choose the San Fran 49ers from the image of the NFL teams displayed above. Well, once you've selected them you'll be taken to a common search results page with the image as your keyword. Why you wouldn't have just typed them into the search box is what I'm asking.

I don't see the proper application or practicality in this feature, so I'm not exactly sure what it's trying to accomplish. But regardless it's something you may want to try out for yourself before passing judgement.

Facebook now has @reply functionality, what next Twitter?

Facebook has always been the big friendly giant of the Social networking industry. It is still the #3 or 4 site on the internet and yet fails to continue to implement original features.

Twitter, on the other hand, is the little guy, and ever since little tweetie managed to bloat into the latest internet sensation, it caught facebooks eye. Facebook had only one option, smuther twitter, and it is starting to do just that. The new layout, facebook lite, and now this?
