Samsung's Touch of Colour laptops now on sale

Do you ever feel like your life is turning into a monochromatic blur? Have you ever thought of introducing some colour into your diet? If not, then no matter because Samsung’s got you covered.  The Korean company’s Touch of Colour laptops (originally announced at the latter end of CES 2010) are now on sale at your local Best Buy. Available with either a Core 2 Duo R430, Core i3 R480 or Core i5 R580 / R780 processor there is certainly a flavour to suit all who desire one. With prices ranging from $629.99 to $829.99 it appears that Samsung’s got the lower end of the mobile computing space covered.

Wait, Don't Buy A New Macbook Pro Just Yet

According to recent screenshots, it appears Best Buy is carrying some type of new Apple product named "Apple Dummy SKU". The records show they have an "In Stock Date" of March 14th for the product in question.

Last year AppleInsider received a similar screenshot the previous year, but it included a valid UPC code, unlike this one. Another difference is that last year's screenshot stated the "In Stock Date" was May 31st, 2009 but was actually released May 27th. Personally, I'm hoping for a Mac Pro because it's Apple's top of the line machines and a new one is due. The Macbook Pro line is also mentioned in the speculation as it's at the end of its cycle and is due for an update.

Dell Mini 5 application filed to the FCC

One of the most intriguing devices currently floating around cyberspace, is without a doubt the Dell Mini 5. The device was first heard about at CES 2010, however, information pertaining to the device (i.e. internals) was never revealed. Chatter was quiet for a while, until the guys from TechCrunch decided to raid CEO Michael Dell (once again, he gave nothing up). As it was clear that information pertaining to this device was going to remain quiet, many gave up hope; that is until now.

Way back in the confines of 2009, it was rumoured that this device would be manufactured by Qsida; well it appears that Engadget has some pretty solid intel; the device was recently filed with the FCC under Qsida's name. Above on the left is the label submitted today, filing a device called the Qsida M01M; on the right is a pictorial of a device in Shenzhen with the same name. Described by RF reports as a "mobile internet device" with support for WiFi, HSPA on WCDMA II and V (there the radios needed to support AT&T, Rogers, and Bell & Tellus) -- No word on any other radios, however, if this device wishes to come Down Under (specifically to me) a GSM radio is must.

MSI's newest creation -- CR720 17.3" -- is without a doubt a powerhouse. Targeted towards consumers that wish to replace their desktop computer with a more "intimate form factor". At the larger end of the spectrum, this 17.3" laptop offers the form factor of a mobile computer, whilst in turn featuring internals that make most desktops blush. MSI has once again opted for an LED-backlit display and chicklet style keyboard.
