This is my top favorite list of joomla themes/templates. The list consists of only free templates so this is a great way to spice up your Joomla! site. It has themes like, Jamba, Novus, RedEvo, JP, Trentco and more. This is a great source for a budgeted web designer looking for a way to spice up the look of their site, without breaking the bank. What is joomla? Joomla is an award-winning content management system (CMS), which enables you to build Web sites and powerful online applications. Many aspects, including its ease-of-use and extensibility, have made Joomla the most popular Web site software available. Best of all, Joomla is an open source solution that is freely available to everyone.

Best Search Engine Optimization | SEO tips and techniques

This is my In Depth tutorial on SEO | Search Engine Optimization.......Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of improving the volume or quality of traffic to a web site from search engines via "natural" ("organic" or "algorithmic") search results. Typically, the earlier a site appears in the search results list, the more visitors it will receive from the search engine. SEO may target different kinds of search, including image search, local search, and industry-specific vertical search engines. This gives a web site web presence. As an Internet marketing strategy, SEO considers how search engines work and what people search for. Optimizing a website primarily involves editing its content and HTML coding to both increase its relevance to specific keywords and to remove barriers to the indexing activities of search engines.

Twitter added to Bing search, Hats off Microsoft!

The problem with trying to compete with Google in search is that search isn't broken: Most users find what they're looking for quickly and have no idea whether one search engine is any more "relevant" than another. Also, search is seriously habit-based. If you hear about some cool new whizzy search engine, you might try it once or twice (Ask, Wolfram Alpha, Bing). But once you discover that the results are pretty much the same as you would get using Google, you'll quickly go back to your old habit of using Google again. Thus, to actually persuade you to switch search engines, a new entrant doesn't just have to be better than Google. It has to be much better--so much better that it is immediately obvious to you that you're getting more from the new search engine than you would be getting from Google. Microsoft's first iteration of Bing wasn't "much better" than Google. It was just another search engine, albeit with some nice layout and a $100 million ad campaign attached. But now Microsoft has gone and included the Twitter streams of a few digerati in the search engine, including Kara Swisher, Danny Sullivan, and John Battelle. And it has announced plans to include a lot more.

Best Firefox 3.5 Themes and add-ons, Ever

Tell me if there are any missing from this list, in the comments AutoCopy We like it because we're bloggers, having to quote and copy links and code every day, but anyone who does a fair amount of copying to and from the web will dig AutoCopy. The basic use: It copies anyt text you select on the web as soon as you select it—no Ctrl+C necessary. For pasting into text forms, you simply hit the middle mouse button rather than Control+V. If that's all it did, hey, we'd recommend it to anyone who writes, copies, or pastes a lot, but we also have to point out that it fixes really long, wrap-broken URLs automatically. Three cheers for fewer pinky-finger stretches! Google Gears It's a bit more technical than most browser extensions, but for all intents and purposes, Gears is an easy-to-install add-on that unlocks an entirely new world to the internet. Primarily, it takes Google apps offline—Gmail, Google Reader, Docs, and Calendar—but a handful of other apps make good use of its mini-database powers, including Remember the Milk and PassPack. Still, given the kind of impressive implementation Offline Gmail received, we've only scratched the surface of the potential in them there gears.

5 Best torrent sites, Besides Pirate Bay

Winner | Kickass Torrents

We hardly use Pirate Bay (*wink*) and when we do, we are usually trying to find the one torrent that is "good" and not a fake. So where have you gone now that PirateBay is in legal trouble, and Demonoid is down indefinitely? And all those inappropriate, embarrassing ads? Where are you going to search for all the torrents you want and need?

2. Mininova

MiniNova is perhaps the most well known in the BitTorrent community. It was formed after the demise of SuprNova by ex-SuprNova staff members. It’s not hard to argue that this was the best site that replaced SuprNova. It indexes .torrent files from other sites, so some of the .torrents are from private sites that only allow members of those sites to download the given files. Still, the site is moderated and well-used by members and, with the release of their distribution network, content creators alike.

3. ISOHunt

ISOHunt, like MinoNova, has had it’s share of legal trouble in the past and agreed to filtering content. Still, a number of users still use that site for finding what they want and it has stayed being one of the most populated sites online to this day.

4. 1337x

1337x.org is a lesser known BitTorrent site. Still, that hasn’t stopped their front page from saying “we don’t plan on selling anytime soon.”

MustangX continues, “We welcome all the users of TPB to use our trackers and site. It’s a free leech community with NO ratios to maintain, we have a web based chat , A 24/7 radio station with 8 different DJ’s.”

5. BTJunkie

BTJunkie is another site that is well-populated with users, but not as well known as sites like MiniNova and ISOHunt. Still, many users still find this place to be a torrent home or even a second torrent home when another of their preferred sites goes down or inaccessible on their end.

What about Torrent Software?

Choosing a torrent client can be a pain in the butt and a tad confusing, especially when you're using Linux or Mac. It's especially hard to get support when your downloads are slow or your "ports need forwarding". So sometimes it's nice to try something new when you are tired of your old Torrent app and are looking for something fresh. Personally, I am tired of BitTorrent and I decided to try some of these other clients and they are all pretty damn neat!

Swedish company to buy Pirate Bay

The Pirate Bay, a BitTorrent tracking site, is involved in a legal battle with major copyright holders, including Warner Brothers, MGM, and Columbia Pictures. In April, the Web site's founders were convicted by a Swedish court of copyright infringement, ordered to pay nearly $4 million, and sentenced to a year in jail. The defendants appealed the decision and were denied a retrial last week. Hans Pandeya, chief executive of GGF, said in a statement that his company is looking for a business model that will pay copyright holders for content downloaded from The Pirate Bay. "The Pirate Bay is a site that is among the top 100 most visited Internet sites in the world," said Pandeya. "However, in order to live on, The Pirate Bay requires a new business model, which satisfies the requirements and needs of all parties, content providers, broadband operators, end users, and the judiciary. Content creators and providers need to control their content and get paid for it. File sharers need faster downloads and better quality."
