Confirmed: LG's Moorestown powered GW990 has been canceled

Remember that 4.8inch expanse of MeeGo goodness known as the GW990? Well, it’s been canceled. No longer will this drop-dead-gorgeous phone serve as the premiere device for MeeGo; no instead it’s been blasted out of LG’s product roadmap. There’s no definitive reason as to why it’s been canceled, but with Moblin dead and MeeGo still far from being finished it seems like this was the best decision. Considering how impressive this device was it’s definitely a shame, but lets hope that someone else designs a drop-dead-gorgeous phone with similar capabilities. Perhaps Palm could rock out a 4.8inch device running webOS? Just a thought.
