DROID 2 is available Thursday with Froyo and Flash

Thursday, Verizon and Motorola will bestow us with the successor to the original DROID, the (appropriately named) DROID 2. Sporting a slide out QWERTY with a 3.7” WVGA touchscreen, a 5MP autofocus camera with dual-LED flash, GPS, WiFi, and Bluetooth.

The main changes to the device seem to be an upgrade to a 1GHz ARM processor (a smartphone standard these days), a slightly revised slider mechanism, 8GB of built-in flash memory, and a redesigned keyboard which should please any user’s fingers.
