HP Pavilion dv6 - First touch capable clam shell laptop

You’d have thought that touch enabled laptops would be common place by now, right? I mean at least I did. But what I hadn’t thought about was that there has never been a REAL notebook, as in not a Frankenstein tablet/laptop mix, that has had a full touch enabled touch screen. So imagine my shock when I learn of the the new HP Pavilion dv6 and dv7 series, which will offer an optional touch enabled monitor.

Specs

The dv6 model will have a 15.6-inch touchscreen HD display, up to 1TBs of storage, VGA, HDMI, eSATA, and USB ports.

The dv7 will sport a 17.3-inch touchscreen HD display, up to 2TBs of storage, include everything the 15 incher has, and a full numeric keypad.

Not to mention that both models are made up of an aluminum case, black chiclet keys, come with the option of AMD and Intel processors, and they each come in three colors; Black cherry, Champagne, and Sonoma red.

Pricing and Availability

Prices start at $529.99 and will be shipping May 19th.
