HP Slate is Dead? Building WebOS tablet instead?
What the hell is going on! First they kill the courier, and now sources are claiming that the HP Slate is Dead - and every geek in the world has lost all hope of any good tablet besides the iPad. If something doesn’t change, this will be the end of any good competition for the iPad and Steve Jobs will rule the market once again, but this time its tablets - More info after the break!
…our source tells us that HP is not satisfied with Windows 7 as a tablet operating system and has terminated the project… HP may also be abandoning Intel-based hardware for its slate lineup simply because it’s too power hungry. That would also rule out Windows 7 as an operating system

If Windows 7 is out of the question for HP Tablets, what are they going to use? People are speculating that it is going to be Android, but I am guessing that because of HP’s acquisition of Palm, we will see a tablet from HP, running WebOS - and think about it, it makes sense! They called off the project right when HP bought Palm, and all I can say is if everything goes according to plan, HP will pump out a wicked tablet, but most likely not this year.
