HTC EVO 4G brushes past the FCC, passes with flying colours

As most would be aware, for a mobile handset to be deemed “acceptable” it must first under-go several tests at the FCC. And while FCC approvals are boring and well, simply bland, the latest approval managed to catch our eye. Throughout the filing for HTC model PC36100; we couldn’t help but notice that it runs WiMAX on Sprint’s (and Clearwire’s) 2500MHz network along with the usual encompassing CDMA bands with EV-DO. If you’re not already aware of what we’re talking about, then let us put your mind to rest; what we’ve got here is the EVO 4G for Sprint. Besides the actual FCC filings there aren’t any external photos currently available, but at least they’ve managed to join the “approved” pile of FCC tested devices. Now all that’s left to do is release the device… right?
