iPhone 4S gets outed early by latest iTunes beta
It doesn’t seem to be much of a secret anymore that Apple will be announcing two new iPhone SKU’s at their press event this upcoming Tuesday. One of course is the highly anticipated iPhone 5, and the other is what has been known to us so far as the iPhone 4S. Well, the latter has all but been confirmed thanks to the latest build of iTunes, which so politely has ousted itself before its official announcement.
According to MacRumors, the latest beta build of iTunes has some not-so-hidden information on a device specifically called the “iPhone 4S”. Not only that, but there’s even a pictured icon within the application that seems to look quite similar to the Verizon CDMA iPhone 4 — which may point to other rumors being true, that this newly revised 4S version will be a universal, global phone.
But it doesn’t end there; Gizmodo uncovered some pretty interesting photos from a Brazilian manufacturer that shows iPhone (N90A) models — a.k.a. iPhone 4.1 — being pumped out.
There are no physical differences in terms of hardware on the outside, but again this cheaper iPhone 4 may end up being the replacement for the current iPhone 3GS being sold under contract for $49.
