iPhone 5's being made without iOS 5, will be installed before packaging
Reports are coming in that the iPhone 5 is currently in production, however isn’t being made with iOS 5 built in… yet. See the thing is that the latest software for Apple’s next iPhone and current iOS devices doesn’t have a finalized build yet. And so to not delay the phone any more than it might already be, iPhone 5’s are in full swing production but will have iOS 5 installed right before they go into packaging.
iOS 5 has been in dev testing for just about 3 months now, but apparently there are still some kinks to work out in the final version that will be available for consumbers. The next software jump will introduce a whole new notifications system, deep Twitter integration, iCloud, iMessage, and other new features.
iPhone 5 has been long-rumored to be releasing in the first week of October, and we’re slowly but surely getting there. Apple is definitely within its crunch time period with t-minus only one month to go before the next iPhone is due to change the world. It’s no doubt that this phone won’t just be an interim model between major updates to the company’s handset, at least not with all these rumors about it having a bigger screen and even round, curved edge similar to that seen on the 3GS.
