Is Android unstoppable? - 886% growth since 2009
These are some surprising numbers, and they sure as hell knocked me back a bit based on the fact that Android is growing a lot faster than I previously anticipated. Considering the buzz surrounding the Apple-verse right now, Android has become somewhat of an afterthought on tech blogs, especially mention of its inane popularity.
You can see above that Android completely shattered the 2009 Q2 to 2010 Q2 market growth competition with an astounding 886% growth. Compared to the iPhone’s impressive 61% annual growth (after almost 4 years of existence), Android is really starting to bloom into a solidified market that is starting to seep into the lives of every day people, and not just the geeks who have since been the main demographic.
