Microsoft Employees like Working for Microsoft, not for Ballmer
In a recent survey conducted by Glassdoors.com, it was discovered that only 51% percent of a selected 1,000 employees over at Microsoft approve of the way Steve Ballmer operates as Microsoft’s CEO. Surprising?
The problem with this survey, as pointed out via Tweet by Brandon LeBlanc - Windows Blogger, is that the amount of those selected was only 1,000; a minute fraction when compared to Microsoft’s total 83,000 member workforce. Though that may be, it still doesn’t change the fact that once Ballmer took over Ol’ Bill Gate’s job in 2001, Microsoft’s stock has plummeted to half its altitude. It’s been an uphill battle for our sweaty friend, but with Windows 7 changing the minds of consumers in terms of what an OS should be, and also the upcoming releases of Windows Mobile 7 and the Xbox’s Kinect, who knows…
What’s interesting to point out, however, is Eric Schmidt’s, Google’s CEO, 96% approval rating among his 400 employees. Is he really that cool of a boss?
