New 2010 Macbook Pro coming very soon - Details

Update: The new Macbooks are here, and we have all the details - Read more

After months of hoping for some new Macbooks - Apple is planning to push a new line of Macbooks out to customers very soon, and there have been some recent info dug up about the new line of laptops that gives us some real insight on pricing and specs. There are some details after the break…

Part numbers and pricing

Mac Rumors has received independent confirmation from another source besides Microcenter that those part numbers are real, and that we should expect new 15” and 17” MacBook Pros very soon. The chart shows 4 different systems.

The chart seems to represent three 15” Macbook Pro and a 17” Macbook Pro, which are priced at $1,799.99, $1999.99, $2,199.99 and $2,299.99 (which seems to be the 17” because its the most expensive).

Other Rumors / Hardware changes

The various hardware rumors seem to be pointing at the fact that the new Macbook Pro’s will be sporting the new Core i5 and Core i7 processors but no other information has been reliable. It is most unlikely that there will be any cosmetic changes, or a new “Look” for the Macbook Pro, but there is still a chance that Apple (knowing who they are) will either take something away, or make it “simpler”.

Release date

Next Tuesday, April 13th seems to be the date that most tech publications feel is the day that all this will be announced, and the new Macbook Pro’s will be presented to the public. There is still room left for error, but this seems to be the correct date for Apples next event.

What do you want to see in the next Macbook Pro?
