Opera reveals touch-based 'Opera for Tablets'
Earlier today, Internet browser powerhouse Opera — you know, the folks with that snappy browser on just about every mobile and desktop platform known to man — revealed their latest creation, a touch based version of Opera designed specifically for use on tablets.
Now, while Opera has had touch based browsers in the past — we’re looking at you Windows Mobile, Android, and Apple iOS — it’s never had a browser specifically tailored for use on a larger touchpanel. The early preview demo’s the browser running snappily along on a Samsung Galaxy Tab. But we’re expecting once it’s officially demoed later this week at CES, it’ll be confirmed to run on the iPad (pending an Apple approval of course) as well as the slew of Android tablets we’ll be seeing at the show.
