Quickertek goes green with its solar panel charging station for the iPad

Looks like today’s shaping up to be one of those “why did you bother days.” Adding fuel to the fire, we’ve gotten wind of Quickertek’s latest product. Basically, it’s nothing more than an oversized grid of solar panels that can be used to charge-up that ever-so magical Apple device. We’re not quite sure as to whether this is actually a magical charging solution, but according to the info on Quickertek’s site, the solar panels produce 10watts of power (the equivalent wattage of Apple’s wall charger). With no actual word on charge time and a price tag of $250 we’d rather find a power point, but it’s nice to know that greener alternatives (despite how impractical) are out there.
