ZTE attacks the MID market with its V7
In true Engadget fashion we’re surprised this device wasn’t classed as a KIRF, but nevertheless. What we’re looking at here is ZTE’s latest MID (the V7), and we’ve got to say at a first and even second glance it looks as though they’ve ripped off both Mac OS X and HTC’s Sense widgets. Ahh well, you know what they say: “imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.” Spec-wise the V7’s drumming to the beat of the Maemo OS with a physical QWERTY keyboard, a 4.1-inch (800 x 480) display, a 3.2-megapixel webcam, support for 3G CDMA1X, EV-DO and HSDPA, a Marvell PXA310 806MHz processor, GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth, microUSB, and an SD card slot thrown in for good measure. No info on pricing or a release date just yet, but we will say this, sans suffice we thought MIDs were dead? Guess we were wrong.
