Soul Calibur 5 -- A tale of swords and souls eternally retold, for the 5th time

Namco has teased us with some screenshots and tweets here and there, but we’ve finally now gotten a glimpse of what the gameplay will be like when 5th installment releases next year. Taking nods from Street Fighter 4 and its Ultra combos, SC5 looks to want to be a little bit more flashy this time around; apparently Ivy’s skimpy outfits aren’t enough to keep the attention of some.
And if you’re curious who this new guy who keeps talking about his mother is, well then let me introduce you to Patroklos, the son of Soul Calibur veteran, Sophitia. Aside from he, the team hopes to have a total roster made up out of 26 characters, with the usual addition of a special character from another gaming franchise making a combatative cameo.
