    Symbian^4 screenshots surface

No you aren’t looking at some skinned out version of Android (despite several glancing similarities); no, instead you’re looking at the first real screenshots of Symbian^4. Despite what appears to be a rather interesting user interface, we can’t help but feel the Symbian Foundation is playing catch-up with its competition — don’t go pretending like you don’t know what we mean — after all, we’ve seen this catch-up game already played out with the not-so-long-ago-announced Blackberry OS 6.

Enough with this melodramatic rant: Once you get down to the heart of it, Symbian^4 boasts the usual array of widgets (which have been redesigned), app categories, search, pop-up menus and an onscreen numeric keypad. Now, where have we seen that before?
