USB 3.0 not coming to Macs anytime soon, says Jobs
Apple you’re always the perplexing mystery aren’t you? In a recent email with CEO and Co-Founder, Steve Jobs (hopefully you all should know his name by now), BGR asked the heavy hitting question: When are Macs going to come equipped with USB 3.0? Now, as a little back-story, you should all know that in the past Apple has often been the first OEM to adopt newer technology standards on their desktop and laptop lines — USB, and Firewire come to mind. However, Jobs has come back and stated:
“We don’t see USB 3 taking off at this time. No support from Intel, for example.” - Steve Jobs
Interestingly enough, you’d think that with the history Apple has they’d be all over USB 3.0, or as a side note HDMI. After all, HDMI has become the industry standard for high-def video and audio, and currently, Apple only offers it in one of their machines. So, what’s your take on the matter?
