View 3D image mock ups of Wii and Gamecube games on your 3DS

Being an early adopter of the 3DS hasn’t been all what it’s cracked up to be. Sure, we have Steel Diver and Super Street Fighter IV 3D which both look fantastic, but many of the games, like Kid Icarus, Metal Gear Solid, and the Ocarina of Time remake, which were all teased at E3 2010 are yet to be seen, and without any solid release dates it’s making the justification for a $250 new handheld that much more harder. But what if I told you that some smart folks around Neogaf and other sites have found a way to replicate what 3DS games look like but on old screenshots of previously released Wii and Gamecube games?

Now I’m sure you’ve seen those wiggle images that simulate the 3D effect without having a means of watching them, so this will just have to do for those who don’t have a 3DS in hand. This is pretty much the effect you get while playing a game in 3D.

Through special means which are explained on the gbatemp site, you can download and save various modified screen shots onto your SD card and view them through the Camera app on the 3DS.

Games like: Muramasa: The Demon Blade, F-Zero GX, Pokemon Battle Revolution, Monster Hunter Tri, Mario Kart Wii, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Super Paper Mario, The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker, Sonic and the Black Knight, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Sin and Punishment 2: Star Successor, Resident Evil 4, Naruto Shippūden: Gekitō Ninja Taisen Special, Metroid: Other M, Fragile Dreams
