Was Life on Earth Created by Zombie Cells from Outer Space?

Not only the craziest theory in the world, but the most awesome! Necropanspermia is the theory that zombie-like cells created life on earth by traveling through space on debris, dying on our planet, and then repairing themselves to create life. According to astrophysicist Paul S. Wesson, this is a very strong theory, but he can’t explain how the zombie cells’ repair mechanisms would work. Although this is theory is very interesting, Necropanspermia still has major holes in it’s logic — io9 has some more info.
