In Street Fighter the goal is to win the tournament and become the “World Warrior”. Well, in fighting games their’s a circuit that’s pretty similar — Evo. It’s the premiere place for anyone who has skills in any of the top name fighting titles and wants to show their stuff to the world. Street Fighter IV has been the main event for a couple of years now, with Daigo “the Best” Umehara taking the prize two years in a row. And now you can catch the action on Playstation Home.
While sure, you could watch the high profile matches throughout the entire weekend starting July 29th on Evo’s own site w/ provided commentary, why would you when your virtual avatar could walk around their wannabe Second Life world and watch Evo within Playstation Home? Available on Playstation Home Theater you’ll be able to cheer on your favorite fighters on the top franchises set to clash on stage: Tekken 6, Mortal Kombat, BlazBlue: Continuum Shift II, Marvel vs. Capcom 3, and Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition.
Evo 2011 begins July 29th, and will be held at the Rio resort in Las Vegas, NV.
