New Statistics from the Apple September 9th 2009 event




Steve Jobs arrived at the event and announced some exiting numbers!
iPhone
- 30 million iPhone have now been sold worldwide in a little over 2 years.
- There are now over 75,000 apps in the App Store
- There have now been some 1.8 billion App Store downloads
- The 3.1 update for iPhone and iPod touch is launching today.
iTunes
- iTunes is now the #1 music retailer in the world
- 8.5 billion songs have been downloaded from iTunes
- There are now 100,000,000 accounts on iTunes, making it one of the largest stores on the web
- iTunes 9 is launching today, with a revamped look and feel
- It also features a Genius feature for the App Store
- An easier way to organize apps on the iPhone and iPod touch
- iTunes LPs (this is the “Cocktail” feature)

Nokia imagines Future products


About half a year back Microsoft posted up what the world would be like in 10 years. It was a fascinating look into the future. The best part was that it seemed completely realistic. Now, Nokia has done, sorta the same thing, but on a much smaller scale.
I'm not much a fan of the direction in the video because 50% of it doesn't even feature anything worth mentioning. And the other half of the video showcases the "products", which don't seem to be very practical or even in demand. Or are they? I'll let you be the judge of that.

Everyone is tensed up for Tomorrow's apple event. I'm so squirly right now, I can't bear it. If Dr. Jobs is there Every Apple Fanboi will freak out as if they were at a GNR concert.
Peoples keyboards will melt as a result of their hands breaking the laws of physics as they twitter like their iLife depends on it. Twitter will be a slue of "Apple this and apple that" So prepare [...]
Girls Update status rather than Call for help
Was the level of danger unknown to them, or was it simply just stupidity? Two girls, both preteens, got themselves stuck in a stormwater drain and were in quite a sticky situation on Sunday in Adelaide, Australia.
