District 9 Torrent is out now and pirates are all over it!

With over a million downloads in less than 24 hours, Peter Jackson’s Sci-Fi thriller District 9 is well on its way to becoming the most pirated movie of 2009. The huge download spike is caused by a DVD quality version of the movie that leaked onto various BitTorrent sites yesterday.

In the present day and age, no blockbuster movie can escape the fate of being pirated. However, the popularity of the various rips and titles can differ drastically, and a recent leak of a high quality version of Sci-Fi thriller District 9 might become a record breaker.

Two weeks ago a Telesync version of District 9 already found its way onto the Internet, but the rate at which the freshly released R5 release is being downloaded easily beats all other titles released in 2009 to date!

This means that District 9 is a Geek movie with momentum to carry it on for 20 years as a classic SiFi movie, right up there with Star Trek and Star Wars. I mean c'mon, anyone who saw it was utterly suprized by the fact that you don't need a 300 Million dollar budget to make a good movie.

Why its a geek movie:

Geeks download torrents, and 99.9 percent of a geeks watched this movie (Including me)

C64 emulator for iPhone approved | minus BASIC

After a lengthy process that had previously met with rejection, Manomio’s Commodore 64 emulator for the iPhone and iPod touch has finally been accepted by Apple. This marks the first time a multi-purpose emulation title has been approved by the App Store. The $4.99 C64 app comes bundled with five fully-licensed classic games, and additional titles can be purchased and downloaded directly within the application.

App Store policies prohibit software that could run downloadable code, which barred most emulation attempts in the past. A couple of Sega titles worked around this by nature of being single-purpose emulators. The condition by which the C64 title was finally approved was the removal of the BASIC programming language (though ironically it’s still shown in screen shots, even on the App Store). Since only sanctioned programs can be installed and run from within the application, no user-alterable code is present.

The C64 emulator is neat enough in itself, but the really encouraging news here is that a precedent has been set; the business model may open the floodgates for developers to bring more classic gaming titles to the iPhone platform. So download that SDK and get hacking!

How to make a Mobile version of your Website or Blog, with Mobify

We all love the internets, but sometimes (even on the iPhones screen) things just dont fit, or they don't go in the right places. Things get jumbled up, and its hard for your readers on mobile devices such as iPhone, Blackberry or Razor. The text is all jumbled up and the images dont fit on the screen.

And don't even get me started on making seperate stylesheets (Pain in the ars) and all the browser redirection crap and unstable everything, it just gets mixed into a big mess!

In this video I will show you how to make a Mobile version of your website easy enough for a beginner, but if you need to, you can edit full css.
